I recently visited destination dogs with my best high school friend. She’s been telling about this place for so long so we finally actually went! Now if you’re not a hot dog lover you should just click out of this post LOL. I love hot dogs so finding a place that literally specializes in them was great! The restaurant serves “gourmet sausages inspired by the world’s best cuisines”. To start the menu was so overwhelming and I certainly have to go back. I was deciding whether or not to stay safe or try something new, they literally had beef hot dogs, chicken sausage, alligator, phyton sausage and kangaroo sausage. I ended up staying fairly close to home with my choice and got the Kansas City Beets: Missouri hot dog (all the hot dogs are named after different states and countries). It was an all-beef hot dog with pulled BBQ beef short ribs and coleslaw (pictured above) on top with a side of truffle fries. We also got a crab dip for an appetizer!
Overall the dogs were great, so flavorful and filling! I almost want to continue to go back and try each one! Its one of those meals that you just have to dig into (as you can see below) it was the best messiest hot dog I’ve ever had! Unfortanly neither one of us enjoyed the crab dip so I won’t be coming back for that but hey! They specialize in hot dogs, not seafood! Overall It was a great experience and one that I recommend! They also have a nice drink menu so it could be great for an inexpensive date night or if you just want to try something new!
